I've now added Eclipse preferences that should automatically format
the code and organize imports when saving. They're both in master and
kruland-integration. The style settings pretty much match the Java
code conventions / Eclipse defaults, except that it permits long
lines, explicit line breaks and does not format comments. I find that
a person generally does a better job at line wrapping than machines.
If you have any questions, comments or suggestions about the settings,
let me know. I haven't reformatted existing code, so they will be
gradually reformatted as files are modified.
Doug, since you use IDEA, can you check that your autoformatter
matches most of these settings, or turn autoformatting off. One
significant difference in some of your commits is that in Eclipse also
empty lines are indented. I don't have a strong opinion about this,
but I find that having the cursor jump to the very beginning of a line
when moving up/down is slightly irritating. (I guess in IDEA by
default the cursor isn't clamped to the lines.)
