Sorry for the long time in replying - Have I replied already ? Don't think I have - but thought I had... ! Information about the QuickTime file format is here: http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/quicktime/qtdevdocs/PDF/QTFileFormat.pdf I don't think there is a really easy way of getting basic information about a movie out - it isn't just sitting in the first few bytes of the file - that is what OpenQuicktime is for !
