OpenQueue: Name Our Program, Win $200

We at the OpenQueue project (http://openqueue.sourceforge.net) created an Open Source publish-and-subscribe message queuing daemon (psmqd), which we cleverly called "Passamaquoddy." (The Passamaquoddy are a Native American tribe, like the Apache, get it?)

Well, the Passamaquoddy tribe didn't get it, and they want us to stop using the name. So we're holding a naming contest! The winner will receive $200 US, and a team t-shirt (as soon as we print out the first batch). Not to mention a small piece of immortality :-) ... read more

OpenQueue Is Now Rolling

OpenQueue ( http://openqueue.sourceforge.net ) has released a first protocol definition and working code (server, client, and utility). We seek other people interested in creating an open standard for platform- and language-independent, publish-and-subscribe message queuing. We've got working code, but there are many unanswered questions, and many opportunities (in clients, servers, documentation, utilities, etc.). Come join us!
