hi matt,

thanks for you quick reply. this feature bothered me since a long time.
unfortunately you closed the comments, so i reopen a new thread, since the creation of 1.nfs.stat.manual fails.

/opt/openqrm/plugins/nfs-storage/web/storage does not exist, but /opt/openqrm/web/base/plugins/local-storage/storage does (and is even writeable to world)

i'm running current SVN-1503

additionally it would be nice to see OpenQRM stop trying to reach my manually created ressource by ssh (port 1667) since it's not under its control and this would never succeed and just create lots of error log output. perhaps a configure flag in manual ressource creation dialog.

cheers

    Hi Pille,

first it will stop trying to reach your manually created resource which you used as the storage server when the creation of the 1.nfs.stat.manual file succeeded. Not exaclty sure what is going wrong on your side but to my mind you should have a /opt/openqrm/plugins/nfs-storage/web/storage/ directory when you installed openQRM with basedir set to /opt.
-> could you please try to create it and set its mode to 777 ?
    mkdir -p /opt/openqrm/plugins/nfs-storage/web/storage/
    chmod -R /opt/openqrm/plugins/nfs-storage/web/storage/

On the system we are using here for testing this dir is being created ok.
many thanks + hope it helps,

    Matt
    .. please keep me updated

of course this works for me,

but i don't know why the behaviour of our installations should differ, since i fetched it freshly today from SVN.
    thanks
    pille

    Hi again Pille,

it depends on the distribution if the php can create the storage dir or not.
For the nfs-storage plugin (and some others) it was missing to create the storage dir during plugin init.
    -> i just commited a fix for that :)
btw: you can easily update your running openQRM server by :
    (as root)

    cd src
    svn up
    make
    make install

    No restart requirred.

many thanks for the freature request/bug report !
will close it for now since it should be fixe
enjoy + have a great day,

    Matt
