I added v4l2 to my systems and my drop problems went away. I can now capture at 640x480 without drop problems on both my K7-800 & K7-1200. Did have sound capture/playback problems after upgrading so I upgraded alsa from .50 to .90 and those went away. So my current kernel is RH 2.4.18-4 (with all the RH patches) with merged Low-latency+Preemption patches + v4l2 + alsa-.90-rc1. Talk about a collection of bailing wire & bubble gum.... Now I just have to beat up on my cable provider to clean up their damn noisy signal :) Buy the way mp1e complains that my fields are out of order for fun filters, sound familiar anyone??? -- -Monty Walls (mw...@ca...) - MIS, Oklahoma Tax Commission - - My opinions are my own, my employer knows nothing about it. |
