Adding to OpenProj Success

Hello OpenProj Community,

Serena PPM 2009 R1 with OpenProj Integration

The Serena Team has been working hard over the last year to take the best in class Microsoft Project equivalent project scheduling functionality of OpenProj and integrate it into our Serena Project Portfolio Management (PPM) product. We are proud to announce that we have successfully released Serena PPM 2009 R1 with the integrated OpenProj functionality including the ability to import OpenProj (.pod) project files into Serena PPM. This means you can still use OpenProj to build project schedules offline on your desktop and import your OpenProj project files into our online web based Serena PPM product to collaborate with team members and provide stakeholder visibility. Please signup for a free trial of Serena PPM to try it out.

If you would like to join the project or wish to contribute and have questions please send an email to Shane Watts (swatts@serena.com) or Greg Harder (gharder@serena.com).
