[Openproj-developers] OpenProj not working on ubuntu 7.10

Hi,

Ive download openproj.deb and installed on ubuntu 7.10.
However, I'm not able to create a new project nor open a .planner file.
I've opened a similar issue here:

I would like to get to know the design structure of OpenProj in depth and if
there is some documentation for the source code I ve downloaded please
advice as to where one can go and fix some issues. Also I see a lot of TO-Do
comments in the code and would be willing to do some work in due course.
Does OpenProj have an IRC channel besides the mailing list?
