Windows Xp / IE 7 / Java (build 1.6.0_05-b13) / OpenProj 1.0
opening a .mpp file
Dates look OK in Microsoft Project
The project is set to 2008 but dates in the start and finish of tasks are set to 1931 instead of 2008
in some cases recource available from dates are 01/01/70
two digit year is set to be 1930 - 2029 in Regional Settings
short date format is dd/MM/yyyy
Looks like something is wraping around as a long integer or negative dates
Duration are in the range 10,111 days
Work is 2,096,144 hours
The Gantt charts are OK by date
Please try again with OpenProj 1.1
No still the same :(
will try to get more info on the problem
Similar problem here.
A .mpp file, with dates OK on MS Project and GanttProject: project started on October 2007, all tasks starting on May 2008. Some tasks appear on OpenProj 1.1 with start date March 2007.
I have the exact same problem. I could send the original project file if there is a way.
I am using the MAC Version 2.0
You mean 1.2? Could you please email the offending mpp file to email@example.com? Thanks.
Apologies. Yes 1.2.
I will send you the file shortly.
Thanks. I was able to resolve the problem and it will be in the next version of OpenProj. In the mean time, here is a workaround:
The bug is in importing projects that are scheduled backwards from the finish date in MS Project. What you can do is in MS Project, set the project to be scheduled from the start date before exporting. Then after importing in OpenProj, you can go to the Project Information dialog and set it back to scheduled from the finish date.
Hi! Im new at Project Managment and also to Openproj... My problem is that when it try to open some MS mpp files it works just great! (Openproj version 1.4) but with one in particular (and I cant find out why) It just doesnt! Besides that date is set to 1983 (and my project is from 2007) I cant see any task! Ive already tried what nekosej said but still not working...
Does anyone knows how can I fix this? Please! anything will be very helpfull...
Thanks in advance!
