Export to PDF

  • Anonymous - 2011-09-01

I've just installed OpenProj on Mac OSX and when I try to export to PDF I get an error saying that I need to have project on demand to use this feature, but project on demand no longer exists???

I'm guessing that means there's no way for me to export to PDF but just thought I'd check.

    Hi Anna,
I'm also new to OpenProj, but I think I can provide you with a solution and a good general MacOSX hint.
You are lucky since you are using a Mac. Instead of using an export function, you can print to a PDF file. Select print, and in the printer dialog use the PDF button to save your printout as a PDF-file. This works with any program on the Mac. Well, at least all programs with a print function.
You might need fiddle around with settings like "hide column" to get the printouts and PDF to look proper.

I'm not sure if print to PDF works right out of the box in Windows-7. Windows users can install software like CutePDF writer to be able to print to PDF-file.
