openproj_1.4-2.deb won't run on Ubuntu 12.04 due to the requirement for Sun Java. The .deb file does install, but attempting to run it pops open a window that Sun Java is required.
Hi Martin, I just posted a note on the pending release of ProjectLibre which will fix the issues you are having. We are hosting ProjectLibre on SourceForge as well. We were the founders and developers of OpenProj and happy to be updating it...............

Oracle Java is installed, but this program requires Sun Java.
We are releasing ProjectLibre shortly which is the first update to OpenProj in a few years.... it will run on Ubuntu.
