There has been no active development on this project for several months. The code is in a good state and the project is ideal for someone looking to start/take over something interesting and useful. If you are interested mail one of the admins...
OPA project development will be unactive for a period of about one month (until May 1, 2004). This time will be used to plan, document and restructure OPA with the new code and documentation available from May.
The OPA mailing lists will still be active and updates to the sourceforge page will continue, however may be much less frequent.
We look forward to your interest from May 1!!
The project web page has been translated into Japanese, helping to expand the base of available developer assistance!
New and improved OPA framework release is now available for download from the Sourceforge download page.
We are about half way to our planned MAJOR RELEASE. The major release is planned after the 10th cycle and is expected to be production stable.
The fifth public release from OPA is now available. It includes support for Java Help HelpSet files, context sensitive action support and undo and redo. Still in testing.
v0.4 is now available for download. This package includes some major design changes however many have not been fully implemented and/or do not compile. All code is included however. References and calls to unfinished parts have been commented out so the package will compile.
For the latest updates on the OPA project subscribe to the OPA mailing lists!
OPA will NOT be releasing v0.3 for download. The APIs are undergoing a major reconstruction and a compilable release was not possible.
The project WILL however, be releasing v0.4 at the end of this development cycle with improved OPAManager services.
The first OPA developer suide is now available from the OPA Sourceforge page. It covers the OPAManager classes that handle GUI windows, user options, module help and more.
