I’m having some issue with the zzzOpenOpcService. I have been using it over
a year on a XP machine without any problem, but yesterday for apparently no
reason the service went in stop automatically. I can’t start even in manual.
I have reinstalled OpenOPC and all the required packages (pyro, python
etc..) but I’m having the same issue. When I try to restart the service
there is no program running that is using the service.
There is any log file I can look? Unfortunately the message returned using
"net start zzzOpenOpcService" dose not give clues.
Thanks,
Ago

Vince,
The message returned is "3534" which just tell you the service start and
then stop. I don't have the machine available at the moment, but I can tell
you that there was nothing specially running. That is an XP computer and
the only programs installed are OpenOPC (with all the needed components)
and kepware. During my test I disabled kepware, and I didn't had any remote
connection to the pc opened, so really there was nothing else than OpenOPC.
I did had a power outrage and that computer was powered off improperly, but
to be honest I don't think that should be the issue

Ago,
Not for nothin, but what is the message returned by "net start zzzOpenOpcService" ?
What is your ram / memory usage on the machine ? (maybe something hung up and needs to be killed / ended) ?
Thanks,
