Well, I am not that strict in this, but I would still also rather stay with plain C. Counterargument: What real benefits would C++ bring? I mean *real* benefits, not just coding style. Both languages provide means to express everything we need, so why switching? I am more hardcore C type and I have to admit I do not like using OOP where it does not bring *significant* benefits.
