Hi I want to transfer some files from a Linux system to a Windows system through openObex Bluetooth. I'm using the most recent versions of OpenObex and obexftp. Actually the transfer of a file from Windows XP to Linux was no problem: I started obexftpd on Linux and was able to send a file with the Microsoft Windows XB build-in Bluetooth tool to my Linux system. But vice versa I'm running into problems. If I use the Microsoft Windows XP build-in Bluetooth tool as above, but in listening mode, and try to put a file from my Linux system I get the following error: obexftp -b 00:0E:31:5D:28:1F -p tosend.txt Browsing 00:0A:3A:5D:28:1F ... Connecting...failed: connect Still trying to connect Connecting...failed: connect Still trying to connect Connecting...failed: connect Still trying to connect Of course I also tried the OpenObex tools for Windows, after downloading and extracting I tried the following on my Windows System: ObenObex\shared\bin\obexftp.exe -b 00:0E:6D:1F:31:BF -l Browsing 00:0E:6D:1F:31:BF ... Connecting ...failed: connect error on connect(): No error still trying connect(): No error Connect...failed: connect error on connect(): No error If I try to start the daemon it doesn't work either: obexftpd -b register to SDP Server failed. Waiting for connection Thanks for any help... -- Regards, --Codefritz -- Psssst! Schon vom neuen GMX MultiMessenger gehört? Der kann`s mit allen: http://www.gmx.net/de/go/multimessenger |

Hi, a new build of ObexFTP for win32 is available: http://triq.net/obexftp/obex-win32_20080603.zip It is recommended if you use obexftp.exe on win32 to receive binary data files (e.g. Pictures). ObexFTP on win32 can not detect the BT channel to use yet. You have to specify the FTP channel with "-B <num>". Perhaps use sdptool to browse for the channel. The channel is not registered with SDP but available. Use an optional argument to "-b" to specify it, default is 10. > Regards, > --Codefritz regards, Christian |

Optionaly, you can use Cs-obexftp under windows and/or nux as obexftp client, under windows i implemented a third part, who use MS BT Stack to find ftp chanel, under linux it is not needed (and no win32 api lol) and then cs-obexftp use the openobex discovery chanel. Just be careful with the last win32 installer of cs-obexftp, it doesn't yet include the "obex-win32_20080603.zip", but yu can just erase all dll in the programme file by the new one. http://sourceforge.net/projects/cs-obexftp/ > > > Am 05.06.2008 um 15:02 schrieb mu...@gm...: > >> I want to transfer some files from a Linux system to a Windows >> system through openObex Bluetooth. >> >> If I use the Microsoft Windows XP build-in Bluetooth tool as above, >> but in listening mode, and try to put a file from my Linux system I >> get the following error: >> >> obexftp -b 00:0E:31:5D:28:1F -p tosend.txt >> Browsing 00:0A:3A:5D:28:1F ... >> Connecting...failed: connect > > Could you try this again with DEBUG enabled (see README)? > > >> If I try to start the daemon it doesn't work either: >> obexftpd -b >> register to SDP Server failed. > > The channel is not registered with SDP but available.
