I got and installed obexftp-0.18_beta4.
Now I can read the phonebook of my new SE K750i.
However, I have not found out how to
- download single VCARDS,
- upload a modified telephone book.
For uploading, I am already lost when setting up the syntax.
The same is true for using the Perl interface.
Here, I could not download even the phone book.
Thanks for any help

right, simple things like that are too much trouble still. I'll try to
sum it up, maybe make a wiki entry later.
With most phones, putting vcards and alike can be done with object push
or ftp (fbs) to the inbox.
$ obexftp -p entry.vcs
or for opush $ obexftp --uuid none -p entry.vcs
Accessing the entries is another thing. The phonebook (and calendar,
maybe todos) are readable in a standardized way with IrMC only. (I.e.
Siemens phones show these entries in the 'regular' filesystem, too)
$ obexftp --uuid irmc --nopath -g telecom/pb/1.vcf
(see http://triq.net/obex/obexftp/services for details)
Speaking of perl, do you plan on using the binding? It would be great to
have a developer debugging (or just messing and reporting) about the
