I wonder what is happening to this list's archives at SF. They were
online just long enough so I could actually copy the SETPATH patch for
T610, and now they're not again. So I don't even know whom to thank to
for that patch, but I must say, it works great!
Just my 2 censts of worth from experience with T610. I realized that
even with the patch I am still unable to delete files on my phone, so I
did some experimenting with this until I mentioned that ObexFTP by
default sends in CONNECT command UUID string for S45 (UUID_S45).
Changing it to sending standart folder browsing service UUID (UUID_FBS)
first seems to do the trick! Curiously enough, T610 works even with UUID
for S45 (and probably others) but in somehow limited mode: you can list
folders, pull objects from it and push objects to it with confirmation
on mobile phone. With right FBS UUID it is somehow less restrictive,
allowing deleting files and not requiring confirmation for every object
copied to the phone (which is also nice, since now I really can leave
phone in my pocket:)).
It seems, though, there's no way to tell in which connection mode one is
without actually trying it, since in both cases reply to CONNECT is
success. For myself, I just changed order in which UUIDs are sent (first
UUID_FBS, then UUID_S45 one), but unless Siemens replys with failure to
UUID_FBS, it's guaranteed to break things for Siemens. In that case,
probably the only correct fix would be some command line switch. I send
a patch, but it's really simple change.
Hope it helps.
