I would be interested in helping producing a Japanese localization for openx but I have never done any localization for a C++ application
Is this complicated if I can provide Japanese translation files?
Actually, translating is quite easy, as there is only a single translation file (per language) to be edited. OpenNX uses GNU gettext, and I just committed the necessary changes. The file to edit is po/ja.po. I suggest, you install poedit on your machine. poedit is an editor specifically made for those translation files. If you are running Linux, you can simply install it from your distribution's repository (it is included in all major Linux distributions), otherwise (Windows or Mac/OSX), go to http://www.poedit.net/ and fetch it from there.
