Yes, passing the proper domain to virsh and virt-viewer and everything else I have tried seems to work. With virt-manager I did not need to pass the domain... it appears to assume qemu and connects. The problem is that virt-manager lists no devices to pick from on the Network step. By default it selects Virtual network with the default (which is for NAT only). You can select Shared physical device rather than Virtual network... but in that case there are no devices listed in the device dropdown menu... and there is no way to manually type in vmbr0. I'm not sure what is causing that functionality to break. If anyone figures it out, please let me know.
