You need to load the Adobe SVG plugin to be able to view maps in IE, even with IE9. This is explained on the maps <http://www.opennms.org/wiki/UCE2011/Maps#supported_browser> documentation page. IE9's SVG+Javascript support is not compatible with the approaches used by the map functionality (which is nevertheless supported by every other SVG compliant browser - Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc.). The Adobe SVG plugin is fine if you are running a 32-bit Windows client. However Adobe no longer supports their SVG extension; the 64-bit version is only unsupported beta (since 2009?) and has a number of bugs which can cause OpenNMS maps to fail to display. > When can be done to fix this issue? I think there used to be an open enhancement request for native IE9 SVG support, but it was lower priority. Vote for it if it's important to you. > Kind Regards, > Sanjay -- View this message in context: http://opennms.530661.n2.nabble.com/OpenNMS-Map-does-not-show-anything-on-Internet-Explorer-tp7581567p7581571.html Sent from the OpenNMS - discuss mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
