I'm an employment counsellor, thinking about whether a system might be built to help job seekers to perform better in interviews with employers.
It's expensive to use people as trainers; therefore why not use computers? That would be my brief rationale.
Textual interations with the computer would be good enough.
Most interviewers do a very poor job. Consequently, the range of questions they ask is fairly limited and is rather predictable. Applicants need to be coached toward responding smoothly and toward summoning the relevant noun phrases to respond to questions.
