Hi, Today at the Oss fair I met Frits Hilderink, author of NLMSX. He proposed to create a standard for MSX emulator save states, so that save states can be exchanged between different emulators. Different MSX emulators are different internally, but what they have in common is that they emulate MSX machines. For a save state standard to work, it has to express the state of the MSX (the common part), not the state of the emulator (the different part). Since NLMSX already has working save state support and we're just starting on that in openMSX, it would be interesting to know how the current NLMSX system works. Frits, could summarize it for us? Are there any advantages or disadvantages to the current implementation? Bye, Maarten |
