Everyone, thanks for your interest in Open MPEG. Things are getting hectic, so I've decided to get a better form of communication for us all. We are currently building a community site at Community.OpenMPEG.org, which will not only be our center for discussion on development and project matters, but have news and message boards for the whole community of people interested in MPEG codecs (not just our technology as well). This way, we can keep other people informed about our project by making them come to our site if they want the latest news on codec stuff. :)
Even if you have already, please *email me* with your contact information. My ICQ upgraded and ate my userlist, so I have lost contact information for a lot of you. Expect me to email/AIM/ICQ you guys with information on our first meeting very soon. In the meantime, please - call all of your professors, research partners, friends with too much time, colleagues - everyone, and try to get them involved. Oh yeah, and calling your favorite companies (Microsoft, Sony, Samsung, Fraunhofer, etc.) and trying to convince them to get involved doesn't hurt either! :)
