I use ubuntu 8.10
kernel linux 2.6.27-11 generic
gnome 2.24.1
ram = 1 Gio
plenty of Gio on HDD
CPU intel pentium4   3 GHz

openmovieeditor was installed by synaptic (0.0.20080102)

my video-project by OME : video-clip (avi-video on video-track) with 
addition of background-music (mp3 on audio-track)

jackd is installed and running (over qt jack control interface)
server-path = jackd ; driver = dummy ; sample-rate = 48000 ; audio = duplex

wiewing (F7) on screen : openmovie runs ok for video
but without playing the music !

rytmbox can play the same mp3 without problems (alsa)
rythmbox stopes when jackd starts ... and plays as jack quitts

could you give me some advice for successfull runing openmovie (both 
video and video)
(i am not a programmer !)
