#19 NIS problem

Hi,

I have installed 2.4.26-openmosix1 in rhel 3.0-u4/ws.
I configured the host has nis client using authconfig and
edited the files /etc/yp.conf.
When i start the /etc/init.d/ypbind its says
Binding to the NIS domain: OK
Listening for an NIS domain server...... failed

i checked whether the ypbind service is running. I could
not see ypbind process running
I checked whether the portmap is running the
portmapper is running.

Pls help on this
