Metadot Corp releases metadot 5.5.2.1

Small Bugfix release by metadot corp:

* Fixed a bug that enabled a 'site manager' to give themselves admin privileges by exploiting an obscure cgi query.
* Fixed a bug in LDAP registration, where under some circumstances the LDAP user's default 'my page' would not be built correctly.
* It is now possible to use <I>gizmotags</I> with the WYSIWYG HTML editor used for Page description fields. (This editor is currently usable only with Windows IE browsers). The HTML editor removes gizmotags of this syntax: <gizmotag
..>, as non-valid HTML. To circumvent this problem, it is now possible to use square brackets in addition to angle brackets to specify gizmotags.

In order to properly test it, I have downloaded the latest version of metadot last week and installed it on openmetadot.net, go there to see the awesome new features including the long awaited Calendar gizmo.... read more

OpenMetadot Project Opened

In hopes to revive the Metadot open source project, we have opened this sourceforge project under the name OpenMetadot.

I have put the current version of metadot both in tarball format here, and in CVS. I am now looking for other developers who use metadot who would be willing to post changes to the CVS so we can get started on a metadot4.1
