[Openledger-developer] invoicenumber !unique ?

Hi guys,

I'm wondering why SL does not have invoicenumber as unique. Is it not
required to be so in every country? (otherwise you'd have no way of
uniquely identifying an invoice, based on a single "variable").

I'd like to use invoicenumber as the key for retrieving a single invoice
(instead of the id as used by SL now) - but that ofcourse requires it to
be unique (which it does not have to be in SL currently).

What do you think? Should I:

- - just mirror SL's "search for ID" - then retrive on ID?
- - retrive on invoicenumber
