I'm leaving OpenLANscape to focus on another project of mine called WiR3D (http://wir3d.sf.net). From now on LANout will be an integral part of WiR3D and its source together with documentation will be available at WiR3D project's page at SourceForge.
People interested in taking over OpenLANscape are welcome to do so.

I have been accepted for lighting talks at FOSDEM 2008. This will give me a chance to present my ideas on LAN topology discovery, visualization and usage.

The 0.1a release of LANout has been built with libgdamm. libsqlitewrapped has been removed from the project.
libgdamm (http://gtkmm.org) is the C++ wrapper for libgda (http://gnome-db.org). Make sure you're using libgda >= 3.1 before trying to compile or run LANout 0.1a.
Today the new package has been released. Modifications include:
* lighting added
* text labels improved, so now node names are bolded out.
In today's release of LANout, which is v. 0.1-20080111, a new feature is available, so nodes have their text labels for identification. New screenshots were added to the project's site to present the feature.
The project was activated today. Web page, downloads and stuff coming soon.
