[Openjnlp-devel] Support for applications or just applets?

I am having some trouble launching an application in OpenJNLP.  Are 
applications supported or just applets?  If applications are supported, 
could someone point me to a link on any special configurations for 
Tomcat?  Tomcat 4.0+, Linux and JDK1.4 are being used.
