I'm trying to install and use W3C Validator which uses OpenSP. OpenSP needs Internet access to download DTD's. Unfortunately I only have access to the Internet via a proxy and when OpenSP tries to retrieve DTD's it fails. This has been posted in the past with no solution. There is also a feature request which was added a year ago but is still unassigned. Does this mean that it's unlikely it will be actioned or this code has gone stale? I'm hoping someone has figured out a way around this. The DTD I'm referencing is XHTML 1.0 Strict. I don't know how the code works but there seems to be some concept of catalogs. I tried adding PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" xhtml1-strict.dtd to html.soc but this did nothing. I actually deleted this file and got the same result so it can't be referencing it. There is obviously more to it then just updating this catalog. Thanks for any help that is given. Cheers, Steve |
