On my local machine that has ~2500 songs, a USB card tends to fail at the final save after each game where all new scores from that round are updated. It successfully saves in 1 out of every 4 or 5 attempts. This also carries over to the "calories burned" screen after saving is finished. Usually all I get is the "Don't forget to remove your card" message instead of the calories & song completion breakdown.

I attributed this to the excess songlist making the catalog.xml over 2MB in size from the original file which included only the standard ITG songs.

If I'm correct at all, I would presume that an extended timeframe for it to save at the end of a game would allow it to fully save the file.

Emm, there's an option for quite some time.
Do you see the Extra.ini file in your USB drive? Open it and set UseCatalogXML to 0.

My extra.ini has had that option set to 0 by default since I started using it.

Hmm... your local machine is running ITG r23 or OpenITG?

Originally it was running R23, but I updated it to OpenITG beta 2 about a week ago.

Mine won't save either... I have about 1100 songs played on my card... (machine has about 1500 songs on it). and it'll seem to save fine, however the file isn't all there... it used to save sometimes, however now it will never save... so I always get (Backup) when I try to use it on my machine... Talked with Vyhd he says he knows about the issue... issue with the file handling code... (I'm running beta 2, Windows version)

But yeah, just wanted to say, hope this gets fixed soon.
