#37 Cannot Connect to Database

I have installed Openit on Fedora Core 4. i created a database in mysql and added a user by command Grant Access.

i have made requisite changes in the settings.ini file.

when i try to open the setup.php in my explorer it gives following error

Error: Cannot Connect to database
Please check database settings in inc/settings.ini
