It will create at most one as needed per httpd child. The user for all
the connections will be the same.

By "do this", do you mean actually make the connection? In SPOPS terms,
MS SQL == Sybase, if that helps at all. So if you're using DBD::ODBC
you'd do something like:
[db_info main]
db_owner =
username = foo
password = bar
dsn = DSN=mydsn
db_name =
driver_name = ODBC
sql_install = Sybase
long_read_len = 65536
long_trunc_ok = 0
If you haven't already done so, I'd make sure you can use it with
Perl/DBI before you purchase the driver. Most companies don't have
"Perl-compatibility" high on their feature list :-)
