I did get it.  Thanks for checking.  I played with that a bit but 
then just went back to the symlinks.  I documented those in my
Apache config. so they're not lost.  It turned out to be 3-4 links.
I may pick up the other approach later, but this works and is easy.

This is all starting to make a lot more sense now.  I like what I 
see so far.
