[Openinteract-help] error message at random moments...

Hi,

Sometimes I get the error message
 
Fundamental part of OpenInteract (themes) not functioning; please contact
the system administrator 

and sometimes not - themes are definitely working, so I don't get it.
Anyone know why this is happening?  I'm using OI 1.54 with mysql on Solaris
8, perl 5.6.1, modperl_solo config.  I have an older OI on the site, so I'm
using a local lib directory for the 1.54 install.
