Oh sure, I don't think there should be a problem. That's the whole idea
behind packages :-)

If you already have the base_page package installed, then upgrading it
alone should be a snap and get you to where you want to be. (Be sure to
read the Changelog, though :-) The scan_for_new.pl script has worked
well -- it helped immensely with a sizeable upgrade from a 1.1 to a 1.35
system a little while ago.

There is also in the new base_page package a new action where you can
scan for new files using a web interface, which can be handy.
