Good question -- I see that HEAD doesn't allow you to set a
cookie. Maybe you can copy an excel file into a non-protected area and
try? I cannot test this right now but will try it later tonight.

Sure, I figured there would be some issues in making the switch. But
it's usually easier to just do it than drag it out. (At least that's
what I'm telling myself...)
