Also a slight note, it seems that some broken browsers (tm) do not obey the charset of the document when posting forms. It might be a good idea to use a form tag like the following by default: <form accept-charset="utf-8" enctype="application/x-www-form-urlencoded"> Sends the form in utf-8 to server.
