Yeah, I understand what's happening. I've made some relatively small
updates to the package, tested it on my end and uploaded it to
sourceforge. If you use it, you'll need to grab the latest copy of
OpenInteract::CommonHandler from CVS: 

    OpenInteract/OpenInteract/CommonHandler.pm

The package also has some additional debugging messages which may help
with problems.

I'll probably be putting out a new release of OI later today with this
stuff included.
