I am happy to hear that the project is still active. Looking around in the modules the latest update is from 16 months ago. I don't think it includes the work from Toorcon 2006. I have checked out all three modules and am spending sometime this weekend reading the docs and the source code. Regards, J |

OpenInfreno is still very active, unfortunately this has been a very busy month (both for the project and for other reasons) for the developers, and we haven't had much time to socialize. SF.net has a very well known bug which makes the "project activity" status useless. It is unrealiable and cannot be believed. There is ongoing work and CVS should have most of the code from Toorcon 2006 back in October. Since that time, we've spent a lot of time working on our code, switching from ICMP based packets to SSL encrypted TCP. We will be updating CVS soon with these changes. Hello everyone. For a while now I have been talking with people about an idea I have. It has mostly been talking and now I am going to try to bring it to implementation. I am in the process of downloading OpenInferno because I think I can use it to help bring my idea to implementation. I have noticed that there hasn't been much activity on the project in a while and was wondering if it is still active? I am currently sitting in both #openinferno and #oi-users on silc.tilderoot.com. So is the project still on going? I think I can be of assistance to the project in several ways. For example I can probably get a working Solaris client, a working IRIX client, and do an Agent/Game Server installer. I will know more once I get the source downloaded and have checked it out. Regards, j |

Slim, Somehow we missed your email for the last three months (09-21 was very close to Toorcon 2005, and I was running around with my head cut off getting things ready, and somehow since then the email has just kinda sat on the back burner.) Sorry about that. We do not use IRC, nor do we have an IRC channel available which we live on, so that is out of the question. Too many evils associated with IRC. We do run a silc channel, #openinfreno on silc.tilderoot.com which myself and a few of the developers/implementors frequent. If you have a silc client, such as gaim with the silc plugin, or colloquy (for MacOSX) or have access to silc-client on a *nix box, then you can connect to the channel and talk with us about any questions or issues you might have. |

Is there an irc channel to discuss openinfreno questions? I have a bunch of questions and I'm not sure how well I could get them across through email. Thanks in advance... slim_pkns |
