Domain names can contain double hyphens. In particular the ACE forms of international domains always contain the "xn--" prefix. Entering such a domain name in the Debian packages' configuration dialogs causes several copies of the domain name to be inserted inside comments in scscf.xml, icscf.xml and pcscf.xml. This makes the files invalid XML, which triggers a segmentation fault in SER.
