I made an optimized version of the experimental temporal pooler. It is capable of running 20,000 columns with 100 cells per column (total : 200,000 cells in region) at average 300-400 miliseconds per step on Q6600 processor (quad core).
this experimental pooler version is intended for high speed and high data rate tests. I did not test it thoroughly so use at your own risk. however, the test of the jumping ball 40x40 runs 100% as expected.
It also provides an opportunity to look at the updated code of the experimental temporal pooler. The spatial pooler is completely disabled / corrupted in this version. http://sourceforge.net/projects/openhtm/files/Experimental/OpenHTM2014_Experimental_Ultrafast21.6.2014.rar/download
