Category: HP ProLiant plugin Group: 2.13.3 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Shuah Khan (shuah) Summary: saHpiResourcePowerStateSet() causes server to reboot Initial Comment: Using the HP ilo2_ribcl plugin - and calling the HPI API saHpiResourcePowerStateSet() with a power state of 0 (SAHPI_POWER_OFF) - the server sometimes reboots instead of halting. I seen this behavior multiple times in OpenHPI version 2.13.3. --Michael Bishop, HP, 3/16/2009. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Michael Bishop (mxbishop) Date: 2009-03-18 14:15 Message: After further investigation, I do not believe this defect exists in the HP ilo2_ribcl plugin. The defect is manifested only thru an unusual interaction between OpenSAF and OpenHPI. A work-a-round for OpenSAF is possible that will not cause this problem - and so I am pursuing this solution. The assigned defect-fixer for this defect should close out the defect with a resolution of "not a bug". --Michael Bishop, HP, 3/18/2009. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=532251&aid=2689227&group_id=71730 |
