I  think, that the VISA discussion started a long time ago -
since  LabVIEW  4.1  or so. And I remember that I don't like
some  of  the  legacy serial port driver disatvantages since
the  time  I  moved  from  LabVIEW  2.5.1  on  MAc to 3.1 on
windows.

We are not in hurry :-)
