Hello All, Tonight's OpenG Group meeting (6:30PM PST) will be held online via = webcast (no physical meeting in Mountain View). Webcast info may be found at http://openg.org/webcast/ . At this meeting we will discuss software licensing and specifically the new NI Software License Agreement. As of LabVIEW 7.0 the language of the National Instruments Software License Agreement has changed. It appears to provide National Instruments with = much more protection of their interests, but also to be potentially more restrictive for end users. We will discuss these changes and talk about = the possible implications. There are portions of the new NISLA that = potentially affect OpenG, and we are in the process of discussing the intent and language of the NISLA with National Instruments. This meeting will = provide an opportunity to learn about the changes, get an update of ongoing discussions with NI, and to discuss the NISLA and software licensing, in general. You can find meeting information online at http://openg.org/meetings/ . = Regards, -Jim Kring ------------------ December 2nd, 2003 - OpenG User and Developer Group Meeting=20 Come learn about and participate in the open source LabVIEW community = and projects.
