[Opengc-devel] socket error with FlightGear 0.80

I hope the following error is due to my ignorance of Linux and not a 

problem with FlightGear 0.80.  What I am seeing under RedHat 7.3 when 

using the --opengc ... option are the following streaming (repeated)
errors:

 

Error writing data.

Error writing to socket: 5800

 

I see this error with two unique installations of FlightGear/redhat.

 

Any thoughts as to what may be causing this?  (I am able to use opengc
with x-plane over the same network.)
