Thank you for the prompt replies and comments.

Right on, error msgs become a lot clearer as one gains knowledge and
experience with the language. Especially those caused by typos, missing
brackets, semi-colons that "reparse" your code. I appreciate all your
patience and help. It sounds like my approach to the design is okay and
doable - it is just a matter of forming the correct statements and syntax to
make it happen. Too bad they don't build compilers that can read your mind
;-)

Appreciate the offer to review the source but before I start sending out
code, I do need to study your comments and work more.
