    Hello all,

I am using gmsh 2.0.7 to create a *.msh file from one of the *.geo example files given with Openflower Windows installation.

When I feed the msh file to openflower through the proper flw file, I get this error message:

    C:\Program Files\OpenFlower\bin>openflower

    Finished reading 5 frontiers.
    Assertion failed: keyword == "$NOD", file src/Geometry/MeshGmsh.cpp, line 120

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Whatever the *.geo file I use to create my mesh with gmsh, I get the same message.

The tags generated by gmsh in the *.msh file look like "$nodes" , "$endnodes", "$elements" etc...

    Any ideas ?

    Cheers,
    Gilles

Use previous gmsh version 1.65 or save mesh as format 1.0.

I have the same problem too

      ../bin/OpenFlower NS_pipe_bend.flw

I am using gmsh-2.0.8. I am unable to find the options where I can save the mesh file in format 1.0. Any help would be appreciated.

      Thanks

mesh files in either format output from gmsh 2.0.8 seem to break openflower in some way.  the same design output from gmsh 1.65 works for me (format 1.0)

      hi all

if youre looking for saving .msh file with the version 1.0, follow the following instruaction.

After going to gmsh , and choosing the geometry and presseing the 3d or 2d or 1d mesh, just go to the file which is loocated on the top windows of the gmsh and press save as.
then save your msh file and press ok.
in that case on small windows will comes up which ask you which version of msh would you like to get save.
choose the version 1.0 and then press ok.

I hope it would be usefull , as i had the same problem.

      Regards
