Ok, here is what I know about workflows standard.
There is basically one large standard body on workflows, which is the
Workflow Management Coalition (www.wfmc.org). They have published numerous
standard on the workflows, including:
- process description, both in a descriptive language and in XML;
- access to workflow engines;
- access to external applications by workflow engines;
- interoperability standards.

The answer is yes. OpenFlow has to provide compliance with existing standards
like wfmc.
