I am not quite sure how much of this is 'in working condition' ... I've installed it before and it just appearred to be containers that hold specific types of objects. this is pre-pre-pre-Alpha ware. You _need_ ZOPE www.zope.org (application server) which openflow runs on top of. and it would be helpful if you knew Python programming language (really easy to learn) www.python.org . as far as the workflow management- I'm still wondering what the 'roadmap' is... I belive openflow to be a 'product' inside of ZOPE which will allow you to easily manipulate and create workflow (I think this qualifies as a 'framework'? ) I'm on the list to see the updates and the path it is taking. Andrea - if your not familiar with ZOPE, please download and take a look. really great application. george -----Original Message----- From: Andrea Domenici [mailto:an...@ss...] Sent: Friday, March 03, 2000 9:52 AM To: ope...@li... Subject: [Openflow-dev] What is OpenFlow? Sorry, I don't understand clearly what a "set of tools for the workflow and document flow management" is. I gather it's something that can mechanize administrative processes, but I am not familiar with that kind of applications. Could you please explain the purpose of your tool more extensively? Also: is it a self-standing application, or a component, e.g., a library or framework? Does it depend on other software (libraries, languages)?
