Dear Open Source developer I am doing a research project on "Fun and Software Development" in which I kindly invite you to participate. You will find the online survey under http://fasd.ethz.ch/qsf/. The questionnaire consists of 53 questions and you will need about 15 minutes to complete it. With the FASD project (Fun and Software Development) we want to define the motivational significance of fun when software developers decide to engage in Open Source projects. What is special about our research project is that a similar survey is planned with software developers in commercial firms. This procedure allows the immediate comparison between the involved individuals and the conditions of production of these two development models. Thus we hope to obtain substantial new insights to the phenomenon of Open Source Development. Recently: versions of software components for all parts of the Live Demo have been upgraded. Nick Galasso has been added to the about the developers section Nick has been added to the feedback users able to be e-mailed A link to the LiveDemo of News from Modules has been added. As you've no doubt noticed, the new headers and footers have been added recently. The screen shots link has been switched to a modules link (and the old screen shots page redirects to this). The release notes now have the logos of the web servers which the openFIRST modules are routinely tested on. Select demos have been upgraded. The packaging script I use has been uploaded to the project shell server. As of this morning at approximately 7:00, I've updated all of the modules on the Live Demo version of the site to the most current versions from CVS. This includes the config module files which are now more accessable to the disabled. The intention of this list is to provide everyone on the team with notification when you change something on the openFIRST website itself (not CVS).
